Since 2023, the Work@Heart career entry programme has been offering coaching, workshops, cooperation and networking on all aspects of a successful job start after graduation. At the heart of the support offered is the certificate programme, which the first participants have already successfully completed.

The certified plus to your studies

The content of the certificate programme teaches interdisciplinary skills that are in demand in the working world now and in the future. So far, there has been a choice of three thematic specialisations - "Perspectives on sustainability", "Digital working world" and "Intercultural skills". In the coming semester, the programme will be expanded to include another additional qualification: "Diversity and self-care".

Job upgrade: diversity and self-care

The thematically diverse workshops provide participants with fundamental methods and basic knowledge to create an inclusive, positive and productive working environment within the company and/or team. This includes focal points such as equal opportunities, equality, conflict management, time and self-management and more.

Fact check certificate programme

• 4 certificate programmes (Perspectives on Sustainability, Digital Working World, Intercultural Competencies, Diversity and Self-Care)
• Each certificate has a duration of 2 semesters
• Participants can acquire several certificates or attend individual workshops of the other certificates with a certificate of attendance
• A total of three mandatory workshops must be attended, as well as one of the Job Shadowing, Career Talk or Students on Tour programmes
• The Key Piece workshops are supplemented by accompanying workshops and lectures focussing on topics such as job applications, job interviews, mindset, work-life balance etc.
• The certificate issued by the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences is recognised by companies and employers as proof of the knowledge acquired and can be a decisive advantage when applying for a job
• Efficiency-oriented companies thus get a specialist with additional, certified skills that are in demand on the labour market
