Please note the declaration of commitment.

Authoring system "KI-Smile"

The authoring system "KI-Smile" for the use of new media in civil engineering studies, but can also be used for other (engineering or natural science) subjects in which visualisation is elementary as a bridge to understanding.

Electives

Elective modules are intended to make it possible to set focal points in the degree programme according to one's own interests. The range of elective modules is designed to make this possible.

BIM - Workshop

In view of the requirements and constantly evolving content regarding digitalisation in construction, the BIM - Workshop is a low-threshold offer for students, which provides space for experimentation, curiosity, questions and answers especially in the digital field. The aim is to promote an exchange of knowledge among students, regardless of semester or subject area. The BIM workshop is accompanied by student tutors as well as teachers.

Learning - Workshop

The learning workshop is intended to promote independent learning by providing space to ask oneself questions and to receive help in answering them or finding solutions. As a rule, no topics or tasks are given. There are always several tutors present at the events who cover different areas of the introductory phase of studies.

Within the learning workshop, the tutors also conduct small workshops, e.g. on exam preparation, study organisation, creating your own formularies, etc.

Self-study

The department supports self-study through structurally anchored measures both in terms of time and personnel. These are shown in the timetables and semester plans, but are not compulsory courses.

Tutorials

The tutorials serve to practise and deepen the subject matter of the respective compulsory course, e.g. performing calculations. The tutorials are supervised by students of higher semesters. The exercises are usually provided by the lecturers.

Bridge Course Mathematics

This course gives the opportunities to review and refresh mathematics knowledge and skills. After completing the course, students will have the mathematical foundations for successful study, be able to assess their own abilities and, if necessary, take steps to close gaps in their knowledge.

Practical semester in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Systems

The internship regulations for the Bachelor's degree programmes in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Systems in the Department of Civil Engineering regulate the objectives and the design of the internship semester as well as the requirements for the internship.
