Deutschlandstipendium – Opening Paths at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
For more than ten years, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam has been awarding German scholarships as part of the national scholarship programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Together with our sponsors, we support particularly committed and motivated students and help them to develop their talents and potential.
The Deutschlandstipendium
The Deutschlandstipendium is a scholarship for gifted and talented students in accordance with the National Scholarship Act and supports the best students in their year with 300 euros per month. Performance, talent and special commitment take centre stage: good grades and academic achievements count just as much as the willingness to take on responsibility or the successful overcoming of obstacles in one's own life and educational path.
The grant is paid independently of income and parents and is granted in addition to BAf?G benefits for at least two semesters and at most until the end of the standard period of study and does not have to be paid back. The Deutschlandstipendium is funded in equal parts by private donors and committed companies and by the federal government: 150 euros come from the private sector and 150 euros from the public sector.
The president decides on funding based on the recommendations of the selection committees of the individual departments.
Awarding of the Deutschlandstipendien 2024
On 27th of June 2024, Vice President Prof. Dr Tobias Schr?der presented certificates to the current scholarship holders and sponsors of the Deutschlandstipendium. New sponsors Marcel Jugel and Uwe Nowakowsky from JN Tischlerei Jugel & Nowakowsky GmbH were also in attendance to gain an impression. In the coming funding period, they will be supporting a Germany Scholarship and the wish to work in the field of wood conservation and restoration.
Application
