Start of studies at the Information Sciences Department

Welcome to the beginning of your studies at the information sciences departmentat the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. For first-year students and newly enrolled students, we organise an introductory week at the beginning of the semester.

Would you like to know when and where it starts?

Our introductory events start on the 30th of September, directly after the central matriculation celebration, for which you have to book a ticket due to limited space. All new students and new matriculants will receive important information for their further studies on the first day.

The programme for the introductory days can be found here or further down in the download area as a PDF. However, please check shortly before the start of your studies to see if any changes have been made. Unfortunately, room changes are still possible at very short notice due to construction work in the main building.

Please note: Your semester ticket is only valid from the 1st of October 2024.

For the introductory events on Monday, the 30th of September 2024 and for on-site lectures in some degree programmes starting at the end of September, you will need to purchase a regular ticket for public transport to get to campus.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
