We look forward to welcoming you to Potsdam University of Applied Sciences for the winter semester 2024/25. On this page you will find all the important information you need for the start of your degree programme.

The semester starts on 30^th of September 2024 for all programmes. The enrolment ceremony and orientation events will take place afterwards.
However, some courses start at the end of September (see Start of studies in detail).

Semesterticket Germany

Please note: Your semester ticket is only valid from 1 October 2024 onwards.

For the introductory events on Monday, 30 September 2024 and attendance events in some degree programmes starting at the end of September, you will need to purchase a regular ticket for public transport to get to the campus.

Matriculation ceremony

On 30^th September 2024, the matriculation ceremony will take place at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences.
President Prof. Dr Eva Schmitt-Rodermund and other members of the University Board will welcome you at the ceremony. Take the opportunity to get to know students from other departments and committees who will accompany you during your studies. Participation in the ceremony is voluntary, but offers an ideal setting to start the semester together.

Come by and discover the sights of Potsdam or meet for a coffee in the city centre. We would also like to invite you to take a look at the campus. Feel free to sit down at the Casino, the student pub on campus, and exchange ideas with students. Or come to the campus garden, a green community project in the middle of campus.
