New children's book by FHP Professor Sven V?lker: Playfully discovering geometry in the Museum of Shapes

Sven V?lker's latest picture book has been published by Hatje Cantz Verlag. "The Museum of Shapes" playfully explores the world of geometric shapes. Written and illustrated by Professor Sven V?lker, the book invites children to discover the diverse shapes of our world and the origins of art exhibitions.
This lovingly designed book takes children into a colourful world full of shapes - pointed, round, slanted or wobbly. It teaches in a playful way which shapes characterise our environment and how an exhibition is created. The interactive texts and lively illustrations invite young readers to discover the beauty of geometry and concrete art. The book was created in close collaboration with the Museum of Concrete Art (MKK) in Ingolstadt.
V?lker heads the "Picture Book Lab" at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. There, students independently develop and design new, artistic picture books. "The Grand Hotel of Emotions", the final project of MA student Lidia Brankovi?, is an international bestseller that has been translated into more than 30 languages. Klara Lange's "Haut und Haaren auf der Spur" was recently published by Helvetiq Verlag in Switzerland.
