Accessibility at universities is of central importance in order to provide all students, staff and visitors with equal access to the campus and to education. This starts with good orientation on campus.

What does it mean for a public university to plan an accessible orientation programme? How can a comprehensive needs analysis be carried out in which people with and without disabilities have a voice? How can a constructive, joint process be initiated?

The last few months have shown that we have grown together at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam: As part of the planning of a new, inclusive orientation system under the leadership of Prof. Christina Poth, needs for better orientation were collected in the summer semester of 2024. In an action week organised together with students and the Inclusion Council, everyone's wishes were surveyed under the motto "Hinkommen, Reinkommen, Klarkommen". There was also the opportunity to submit needs and ideas throughout the semester.

The results of the feedback week provided those involved in the Studio Leitsystem project and the university with valuable pointers for the further development of an inclusive and accessible campus at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Project results from the Studio Leitsystem will be presented on this website and in public presentations at the university in the coming months.

The project was organised by the Inclusion Council of the FHP and the Design Studio Leitsystem of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam under the direction of Prof. Christina Poth.
