In the dual-digital bachelor's degree programme in social work, you study flexibly from home, theoretically at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and practically in the work areas of our practice and transfer partners. The research focus is the digitalisation of social work. In the study tracks "Social services of public and independent providers" or "Youth welfare-school-community", the practical work takes place two days a week.

The dual-digital bachelor's degree programme in social work is structured in the weekly model "3 days teaching and 2 days practice". Parallel to the basic studies, you will continuously gain experience in your practical placement two days a week and deepen your knowledge in one of the two study tracks "Youth bob体育平台官网s-School-Community" or "Social bob体育平台官网s of Public and Independent Organisations". You will receive a monthly financial allowance.
You will be accompanied in your professional development by fixed contact persons from the university and the practice centre. Teaching in this degree programme takes place both in presence and digitally. A central instrument is the development of a Mahara ePortfolio to accompany your studies. In addition, the programme promotes digital competences in the context of social work - in the course of studies and for practice on site.

Study Content
Course of studies
The standard period of study for the full-time degree programme social work | dual-digital is six semesters and concludes with a bachelor of arts degree.
The bachelor's programme consists of basic and in-depth modules as well as elective track modules. Through the "Integrated Professional Practice", a close interlocking of theory and practice is established in each semester. This includes continuous coaching at the University of Applied sciences Potsdam, mentoring in practice and the development of reflection skills and confidence in casuistry. The programme is completed with the writing of a bachelor's thesis.

The practice-integrated dual-digital bachelor's degree programme in social work at the social and educational sciences department can look back on an exciting first year.
