Podcast with Prof. Hermann August Weizenegger: "The philharmonic Designer"
Every week, the German Designer Club's DDCast podcast presents a strong voice from all areas of design, related disciplines, science, business and politics. In this episode with the important German designer Prof. Hermann August Weizenegger, Professor of Industrial Design at the FHP's Department of Design.
'What we design designs us back', Jason Silva, a well-known techno futurist from the USA, once said.
The message is that design has a major influence on our existence and coexistence. The call for fundamental changes to our planetary reality is becoming ever louder. Carrying on as before is not an option and will inevitably plunge us into the next crisis. So right now, our creativity is more in demand than ever. What is working, what is coming and what can we do BETTER? How can we rethink design?
Hermann August Weizenegger has created an extensive body of work and has helped shape entire generations of designers as a design activist, co-founder of institutions such as Designmai Berlin and the German Design Graduates and as a professor.
