Since 2021, the team of architecture students has been impressively committed to topics that are often neglected in traditional teaching - including feminist perspectives in architecture, ecological construction methods and accessibility in planning and building. "The student collective perspektiv;wechsel is exemplary of a commitment that does not allow itself to be appropriated, that asks questions instead of administering answers - and that draws its energy from a deeply rooted solidarity" emphasised Leo Blohm in his laudatory speech.

The collective's projects, including the "Queens of Structure" exhibition and the "Bunte Aussichten" event series, are evidence of creative power and social responsibility. Sandra Cartes, Central Equal Opportunities Officer at the university, also praised the collective: "I appreciate the students' willingness to think beyond the supposed boundaries of their studies or even their discipline, to take responsibility, to get involved for fellow students and ultimately for the university, but also to mobilise others - and not only to demand, but also to act!".

The honorary award, endowed with 500 Euro, was presented during the Summer and Alumni Festival on 19/06/2025. In addition to a personal laudatory speech by Leo Blohm, Kristin Weber also spoke on behalf of the teaching staff of the Architecture and Urban Design degree programme. The honorary prize has been awarded by the FH Potsdam Supporters¡¯ Association since the end of the 1990s; after a break of several years, the award was revived this year. "This prize is not just a gesture - it is recognition, visibility and an obligation to strengthen student commitment" says Leo Blohm. In future, the prize will continue to recognise outstanding commitment at the university every year.
