Reading with Stefanie Lohaus and presentation of the Gender Prize 2024 at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam
Stefanie Lohaus reads from her book "St?rker als Wut: Wie wir feministisch wurden und wieso es nicht reicht". The Gender Prize 2024 of the FH Potsdam will be awarded during the reading.
Feminism is the most successful social movement in history. In her book "St?rker als Wut", Stefanie Lohaus looks at the past, present and future from a German perspective: Where does feminism come from and where is it going? What has been achieved, what still needs to be fought for?
Stefanie Lohaus (co-founder and co-editor of the feminist Missy Magazine) impressively describes five decades of this world-changing endeavour. Her book is a comprehensive testimony to the power and powerlessness of change, a cross-generational portrait and a trend-setting appeal.
The reading forms the framework for the awarding of the Gender Prize 2024 of the FH Potsdam to Esra-Paul Afken for his master's thesis entitled "Digitale Repr?sentation historischer Geschlechtsidentit?ten. Recording and scientific indexing of the photographic collection of the former Institute for Sexual Science in Berlin with the open source software Omeka S".
Participation is free of charge and possible without registration.
