Digital Expert Talk: How do I publish an Anthology?
Anthologies are an established and popular format in the academic publishing landscape. However, the path from the initial idea to the finished book is often long and labour-intensive ? and not infrequently associated with unexpected challenges. This is exactly what this expert talk is all about, offering space for professional input and sharing experiences.
Dr Julius Sp?te from the Department of Social and Educational Sciences reports on key steps such as the creation of the call for papers, selection processes, peer reviews and the pitfalls of formatting with Word templates. He also provides insights into the work on two anthologies:
- the recently published volume #GesellschaftBilden im Digitalzeitalter: Perspektiven Sozialer Arbeit auf technologische Herausforderungen (edited by Julius Sp?te, Daniela Cornelia Stix, Cordula Endter and Karsten Krauskopf) and
- the volume #BlickVomTellerrand: Die Bezugsdisziplinen der Sozialen Arbeit und ihre Perspektiven auf die Digitalisierung (edited by Daniela Cornelia Stix, Julius Sp?te and Helene Schammer), which is currently in production.
Following the field report, we cordially invite you to a joint exchange on scientific publication processes.
