The Centre for Further and Continuing Education (ZEW) at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam is organising the Continuing Education Market 2023 on the 21st of September. Under the motto "Lifelong Learning", the Continuing Education Market 2023 offers an innovative platform for discussions and the exchange of ideas on this important topic.

The continuing education market 2023 brings together highly qualified speakers and experts and offers insights into current trends and developments in the education sector. Guests include Tobias Dünow, State Secretary for Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg (MWFK), Dr. Jo? Steinke from the General Secretariat for Youth and Welfare of the German Red Cross (DRK) and Andreas Kaczynski (Board Member of Der Parit?tische LV Brandenburg e.V.).

State Secretary for Science Tobias Dünow: "Universities are the drivers of innovation in our society. If we take the talk of lifelong learning seriously, they must play an important role in the continuing education market. On the one hand, because they can communicate the latest research findings at first hand – not only to "traditional" students, but also to professionals and companies who want to keep up with the times. Secondly, because they also benefit massively as institutions from successful continuing education programmes: They gain insights into professional practice that might otherwise remain closed to them. Although it sounds so simple, many universities are still struggling with the topic. The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam shows how to overcome the difficulties and offer attractive continuing education programmes."

Prof. Dr. Tobias Schr?der, Vice President for Studies and Teaching at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, emphasised the relevance of the continuing education market: "Lifelong learning is key to adapting to a constantly changing world of work. The Continuing Education Market 2023 offers a unique opportunity for all interested parties to find out about current developments in adult education and gain valuable insights into the future of the world of work."

The Continuing Education Market 2023 will take place in hybrid form for the first time, enabling participation across Germany and worldwide. The speakers and panellists will be physically present at the the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, while participants will be able to follow the event virtually. The programme offers parallel channels that allow participants to take part according to their own preferences.

The Continuing Education Market 2023 will focus on various aspects of adult education in a heterogeneous programme:
