ZDT Annual Conference 2024: Digital University Brandenburg

President's Council
Conference

Brandenburg's state universities have been working closely together for five years in the field of digitalisation in the cooperation network "Centre of Brandenburg Universities for Digital Transformation (ZDT)". On the 7th and 8th of November 2024, they are inviting all interested parties, employees and students to the fourth virtual annual conference "ZDT-Forum: Digital University Brandenburg".

Brandenburg's higher education system was put to the test in many areas until 2024. At the same time, the ZDT cooperation network is working intensively on taking cooperation between universities in the field of digitalisation to a new level. What will the digitalisation strategies of the individual universities look like in the coming years? In which subject areas do they want to create cross-university structures in the coming years? What should cooperation between universities look like in five years' time? These and other questions will be addressed at the fourth annual conference of the "Centre of Brandenburg Universities for Digital Transformation" (ZDT) on the 7th and 8th of November.

The digital event is aimed at university employees in science and administration as well as students and interested parties.

It will start on Thursday afternoon with keynote speeches and a discussion on the establishment of permanent structures for cooperation: how can the universities in Brandenburg offer and share digitalisation services and expertise for each other in the future? The recommendations of the German Council of Science and Humanities and the management practices of Brandenburg's universities with regard to digitalisation will be discussed. Two expert presentations will focus on "Digital sovereignty in cooperation networks" – a topic that is becoming increasingly important for universities.

Friday morning will also be exciting: 20 digitalisation projects from universities in Brandenburg will present themselves. The spectrum includes organisational development and AI structures, digital support processes and ecosystems, shared services and skills as well as digital spaces in teaching and research. The online conference offers a comprehensive insight and the opportunity for direct exchange with the digitalisation makers at Brandenburg's universities.

Participation in the ZDT conference is free of charge. The programme and further information can be found on the event page.
