Online Event: Studying with Depression ? Personal Insights and Support bob体育平台官网s
"When they pulled the plug on me" ? Luca Bischoni talks about his depression during his studies and his way back on the 21st of May 2025. Andreas Hülsen, Representative for University Members with Disabilities at the FHP, will moderate the event. After the talk and the joint discussion, he will present the support programme for students.
When they pulled the plug on me: School. Study. Crash. My way out of depression.

Luca Bischoni, born near Aachen in 2000, studied industrial engineering specialising in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University with the prospect of scholarships at an above-average pace until his perfectionism manifested itself as a "cry of his soul" in the form of depression.
As a young person who was overwhelmed by depression, he shares his experiences in lectures ? and how to "find your way back" to everyday life through support. Luca Bischoni breaks taboos and stands up for the destigmatisation of mental illness and for a social rethink.
"With my first book, I want to raise awareness about depression and show that it is possible to grow from a serious crisis, no matter how much you think it will break you. Each of us can start change processes and manage to overcome the challenges of our generation and make dealing with mental illness more open to society. The art of living is to constantly draw new courage from inner crises. The true place of strength is only within ourselves."
