WerkBericht ? Lecture Julia Tophof

Julia Tophof (HemprichTophof Architekten) will speak on the 4th of June about the development of site- and time-related architectural concepts for sustainable and high-quality buildings.

Julia Tophof, graduate architect and co-founder of the Berlin office HemprichTophof Architekten, talks about architectural concepts that are developed from the location and characterised by a clear, timeless design.

The lecture will centre on the question of how sustainable and high-quality architecture can be created through a strong concept that takes place and time into account.

"The aim of our work is to give each project an identity appropriate to the place and time and to create sustainable and high-quality architecture through a strong and timeless concept." (Julia Tophof)

About the speaker: After studying architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt, the University of Stuttgart, the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and graduating from the Technical University of Berlin, Julia Tophof founded HemprichTophof Architekten in Berlin in 1992 together with Frank Hemprich. Projects realised include projects of all sizes ? from pavilions to high-rise buildings - as well as different uses: The spectrum in Berlin ranges from an office building with the largest smart centre in Germany in the "Spreestadt Charlottenburg" to residential buildings with over 150 residential units and the "Pavilion at the Reichstag".
