Model Making, Painting and Metal Workshop
The model-making, painting and metal workshops of the Design department are creative spaces and are used for the realisation and production of mock-ups, dimension and functional models as well as finished prototypes ready for presentation.
Utilisation
The workshops are to be understood and used as a creative space for the realisation of ideas within the framework of studies. This only works if the place is appreciated and everyone takes co-responsibility for themselves and fellow students. Order and structure are the basis and create space for new ideas.
After participating in the workshop introduction, the workshops are freely accessible as part of the study programme and form an important element in the design process.
Workshop courses & workshop introduction
The workshop course deals with the basic craft skills of model making and takes place concurrently in the winter and summer semesters and additionally in the form of a block course during the semester break. Participation in the introduction is a prerequisite for any use of the model-making workshops as well as for taking seminars for the CNC milling course.
The dates are announced on INCOM in the workspace "Modellbauwerkstatt" as well as in the course catalogue. Binding registration must take place in person.
