We were able to give numerous interested parties a comprehensive insight into our degree programmes with a wide range of offers. Under the motto "Discover the world of knowledge and information", our bachelor's degree programmes in Archival Studies, Archival Science and Information and Information Studies were each introduced in 30-minute presentations. The guests learnt how history is preserved, knowledge is made accessible and data is organised at our department - in a practical way and with a view to future-oriented career prospects.

The information stand of the  Brandenburg State Office for Archives and Public Libraries offered exciting insights into the careers of archivists and librarians: a particular highlight was the palaeography workshop, which included practical exercises for deciphering historical manuscripts. Young and old alike could participate in this workshop, which also demonstrated how such skills are developed during studies at the FHP.

The open doors of our labs and workshops were particularly popular: In the archive workshop, the digitisation labs and the labs for information behaviour research, visitors were able to take a look directly behind the scenes. Students presented their current projects, experiments and research results. These insights made it clear how versatile and practical a degree programme at the Department of Information Sciences is.
