The Conservation and Restauration degree programme of the department of CITY | BUILDING | CULTURE presented itself at the leading European trade fair for monument conservation, restoration and old building renovation in November 2024.

Every two years, national and international experts meet, restorers, craftsmen and monument specialists of all kinds present themselves to inform, discuss and network.

The Conservation and Restauration degree programme presented research projects at the exhibition and answered questions about the course. During the three days of the exhibition, teaching staff and students were on hand at the stand to discuss with participants, demonstrate historical craft techniques and modern restoration methods and introduce interested parties to the exciting professional field of conservation and restoration.

The demonstration of chair weaving with rushes by a Master's student aroused a great deal of interest. The stand was very well attended on all days of the fair and a lot of important information about the degree programme was passed on to those interested in heritage conservation. The students in particular were important contacts who were asked about studying in Potsdam.
