Nature as a Design ? Exhibition of Plant Studies at the Biosph?re Potsdam

As part of a drawing course on the Conservation and Restoration degree programme at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, students have observed, documented and interpreted the diversity of plant forms in drawings. Thanks to the co-operation agreement with the Biosph?re Potsdam, selected works are now being presented directly at the place where they were created.

The exhibition "Nature as Design" impressively demonstrates how creative structures and ornaments can be created from natural growth principles. The focus is on the question: How can nature be translated into art and design?

Symmetries, repetitions and structures from nature take centre stage ? as a source of aesthetic order, creative inspiration and spiritual symbolism. The works show nature not only as a biological system, but also as a projection surface for cultural and emotional meanings.

The Biosph?re Potsdam thus becomes a place where observation of nature, drawing and creative thinking combine to create a new approach to the natural environment.

The exhibition opening will take place on the 12^th of June 2025 at 6.00 pm ? all interested parties are cordially invited.
