27th Early Intervention Forum: "Between picture book and screen - early intervention in practice"
The Early Intervention Forum is taking place for the 27th time as a joint specialist event organised by the Brandenburg ministries, the LIGA of the central associations of independent welfare services and the ?berregionalen Arbeitsstelle Frühf?rderung Brandenburg (?AFB) in cooperation with and at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.
With the conference theme "Between picture book and screen - early intervention in practice", this year's Early Intervention Forum aims to place the successful participation of all children and their families in today's world at the centre of the keynote speeches and workshops.
Current social challenges affect families and children in our fast-moving times. At the same time, numerous educators complain that they are often unable to fulfil their educational mandate in many daycare centres for various reasons. For example, many children show behavioural problems even before they start school due to excessive media consumption. More and more girls and boys are also showing developmental delays, particularly in the area of language. Children react to current social challenges with their inner potential in terms of behaviour and development. In addition, children from families with difficult social and economic circumstances are disproportionately affected by developmental delays. Parents are often highly committed, but at the same time heavily burdened and exhausted.
- How can the professional community provide the right impetus to respond to this?
- How can families and professionals achieve a development-promoting approach to media for children?
- How can parents be empowered in a low-threshold way to master the complex everyday life with their children in what feels like an increasingly fast-paced world?
- How can interdisciplinary cooperation succeed in the interests of and together with families?
- How can digital working make everyday life easier for professionals?
- How can the transition to school be made more seamless?
These and other questions will be discussed at this year's Early Intervention Forum. Interdisciplinary professionals from institutions and administrations as well as parents themselves are cordially invited to exchange ideas.
